Viper teams bring home the gold in King Sportswear Viper-Face-off
The local atom rep and peewee rep teams won gold this past weekend in the local Kings Sportswear Viper-Face-off. Both teams went undefeated during the tournament. The Miller Homes Atom rep team were the scoring leaders during the tournament with the Viper squad scoring a total of 37 goals in 5 games. The team had the best goals against average for the tournament with having only 2 goals against. In the final game the Miller Homes Atom Rep Vipers defeated the West Ferris Branch 23 Legion 8-0.  Bay Glass Peewee Rep Vipers-2012 King Sportswear Tournament Champions The Bay Glass Peewee Rep Vipers beat the Kapuskasing Angels 3-2 in double overtime in semi-final action. The Viper squad played hard to beat the West Ferris Big Brother & Sisters Trappers 5-4 in the championship game. A special thank you goes out to Dooley Ricci for all his work preparing the spaghetti dinner and waffle breakfast upstairs on Saturday for our tournament participants. Click here for Game/Tournament Results Volunteers Required for Bingo’s We urgently require volunteers for the Bingo’s in order for us to maintain proper coverage at these functions. Please keep in mind that this is a unique method for us to raise funds for the association in order for us to keep the cost of hockey reasonable to the membership. Please consider this opportunity as a way of keeping hockey affordable in East Nipissing . Please send an email to Charles at pastpresident@govipersgo.com to volunteer. Goalie Clinic The ENMHA held it’s first goaltender clinic on Sunday January 8th 2012 at the Astorville Arena. Coaches, parents and goalies had the opportunity for in-class and on-ice training. Coaches and goaltenders were able to practice goaltender drills on the ice with the assistance of former pro and semi-pro goaltenders. Thank You Bill Antler for delivering the training to the coaches, parents and goaltenders of our association!
